Carrion Crow
 

We only see these birds occasionally and whilst they are not our favourite species, they do add variety.

As they can’t feed from any of the normal bird feeders, like this video shows, the Crow scavenges from scraps left on plate of food left for our hedgehogs.

Facts about the Crow


  1. Bullet The technical name for the Carrion Crow is Corvus corone, latin and greek for.......Crow!!


  1. Bullet Often seen in pairs as our video shows and having finger like feathers on the wing ends


  1. Bullet Similar to the Rook but with a flatter forehead and have a fascination with fire!


  1. Bullet Nests are large open structures which need large mature trees for support
